Originally from Brazil, working as a international model since a teenager, I’ve experienced the pressures of working long hours and extensive travelling whilst having to maintain optimal looks. Skipping meals, eating a diet based on fast processed (non)foods and instant meals, relying on caffeine to keep going, bingeing on sugar as emotional support when I was homesick were the base of my diet. As a consequence, I experienced several health problems, including hormonal imbalances, low immunity, skin breakouts, eczema, hair loss and digestive issues.
This fast and stressful lifestyle with high performance pressure allows me to relate to my clients in a real way. I know how it feels like being unhealthy and not knowing how to get well.
When I discovered the benefits of correct nutrition, I changed my lifestyle for good and have been able to maintain a healthy body and mind. I even managed to get pregnant although my doctors told me I could not as I was suffering from Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome.
Embracing a journey through motherhood made me realise and understand how important is to give your child the best beginning in life, and keeping myself healthy helped to ease the effects of the countless sleepless nights. Juggling baby life and work is an art only parents can understand, and sometimes we need help bringing work and life balanced into a happy place again.
Since I learnt how to eat and live well, helping others to do the same has become my most important passion and mission in life. I am a qualified Naturopathic Nutritional Therapist and registered member of the British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT) and accredited by the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC). Continuing Professional Development is an important part of my career, attending seminars, being up to date on research, on topics that will benefit my clinical practice and my clientele. In addition, I regularly attend yoga retreats and lifestyle workshops, engage in detoxification programmes and raw food courses, all of which contribute to an overall philosophy of correct nutrition and wellbeing. I want to help you to be free from your ongoing health concerns, find a balance in life and be happy.
Michele has completely changed my life with her healthy tips and guidance.
